About VAEOPP

VAEOPP’s member institutions provide grant aid and researched based direct services to their respective program participants that effectively improve secondary school graduation rates, increase college matriculation, persistence and degree completion rates.

What We Do

VAEOPP aims to increase access to college, graduate school, and professional school by providing the following services:

College Accessibility

Increasing College Access

VAEOPP’s member organizations take a number of steps to increase college access and affordability. 

Conferences

Professional Development

VAEOPP provides professional development to TRIO professionals through our conferences and mentoring. 

Fair Share

Fair Share

VAEOPP encourages member institutions to contribute their “fair share” by paying their membership dues.

Graduation

Scholarships

Many of our individual programs, as well as our state association, provide need based scholarships.

Workshop

Tutoring & Workshops

VAEOPP provides direct services to program participants though tutoring, counseling, workshops, and seminars.

Advocacy

Advocacy

We encourage Congressional representatives to advocate for TRIO participants by inviting them to visit their campus.
