The Virginia Association of Educational Opportunity Program Personnel announces its 2010 Scholarship Competition.  Listed below are the Board approved guidelines for the scholarships designed to help defray recipients’ postsecondary educational costs during the 2010-2011 academic year.

§ At least one $500 scholarship will be awarded to each program type.
§ Nominations are limited to one nominee per TRIO program.
§ Consideration will only be given to an applicant whose sponsoring program has at least one current VAEOPP member.

 Enclosed are an application and pertinent information needed to apply for the scholarship.  Please note that the following are required to ensure full consideration of the nomination:

1.  Original scholarship application materials and five (5) copies.

2.  A high school/college transcript or GED verification.

3. Letters of recommendation, as indicated in the General and Specific Program

 4.  Qualification sections attachment.

 The postmark deadline for all application materials is MARCH 12, 2010.

The nomination materials (ORIGINAL & 5 COMPLETE COPIES OF ALL MATERIALS) should be sent to:
