Welcome to the Virginia Association of Educational Opportunity Program Personnel website.

The Virginia Association of Educational Opportunity Program Personnel (VAEOPP) was founded in 1975.  TRiO personnel in Virginia saw the need to create a alliance among all TRiO program within the state in order to collaborate efforts in educating Virginians and state politicians about the work of TRiO programs. 

As an active Virginia TRIO community member, plan to visit this site regularly.  The more you know, the more involved you will want to become!  VAEOPP is the strong voice for TRIO students here in Virginia!

We hope this site will be beneficial to your programs and activities in TRIO.    The site is focused on:
1.  Highlighting student accomplishments across the state.
2.  Increasing communication among TRIO professionals about local and national issues affecting TRIO.
3.  Providing association members with up-to-date information about TRIO activities and upcoming events.
4. Providing new TRIO personnel with information about VAEOPP.
